MSN head of UK trade takes on global role

MSN is promoting head of UK trade marketing Amanda Anthony to the position of international head of partner engagement and field marketing, effective from mid-February. She will be based in London, reporting to MSN international trade marketing director Anne Goodman.

Anthony will be responsible for developing marketing strategies for projects such as MSN’s involvement in the Cannes Cyber Lions awards and the Strategic Ad Summit annual conference. She is also setting up a senior executive programme which will encourage MSN staff to meet regularly with clients and agencies.

In MSN terms, international designates everywhere except the US and Japan.

Anthony says: “We need to co-ordinate and make consistent our communications with our advertising partners.”

Until December, Anthony was officially digital marketing manager, but her job title changed when MSN added to its advertising products and recruited a new digital marketing manager, Katy Adelson. Adelson was formerly in charge of online marketing for media group Thomson’s legal product portfolio.
