24/7 Real Media appoints UK operation chiefs

Online tracking and analysis company 24/7 Real Media has appointed Rob Wilson as managing director and Chris Gawor as commercial director for its UK operations, effective immediately.

The US-owned company offers a range of technology-based services such as ad serving, traffic analysis and targeting to online publishers and marketers.

Wilson replaces Tim Brown, who left 24/7 to become managing director of newly launched online ad network Blue Lithium UK last October.

Gawor replaces Richard Foster, who was poached by US behavioural targeting company Revenue Science to spearhead its UK launch this January.

Wilson joined 24/7 Real Media in December 2004 as head of its 24/7 Search division.

Prior to that, he was director of editorial and customer operations for Europe at search engine Overture.

Gawor joins from Associated New Media, where his responsibilities included managing the display advertising team.

Prior to that, he worked for Wanadoo and News International.

24/7 Real Media chief executive for Europe Christopher Wagner says: “The UK is an extremely important market for our worldwide business. It not only has huge commercial potential in its own right, but it’s a vital incubator of new product ideas and processes.”
