Beechwood has created a viral campaign for online gambling site Sportingodds, which rolls out today (Wednesday).
The viral, found at whereyoutakecontrol.com, takes a tongue-in-cheek look at the world of poker. It supports the relaunch of Sportingodds’ poker website, designed by Beechwood, which went live at the end of last year.
The viral, in the guise of a short film, features a man playing a female opponent who strips as she loses each hand. He is spellbound as she reveals her credentials, but finds he’s not quite prepared for her final move. According to Beechwood, the creative focuses on the idea of player support as the viral ends with the tagline “we can’t prepare you for that, but we can prepare you for poker”.
The microsite links to the Sportingodds site where players can explore hand rankings, a dedicated beginners section, tips and live Web chats from resident expert Tony “Tikay” Kendall plus multi-channel, 24-hour player support. Sportingodds is part of Sporting Bet, the world’s largest online gambling company.
