Women’s website Handbag.com is launching its own-branded credit card. The Handbag Visa card is said to be one of a raft of brand extensions planned by the site this year.
The bright pink card is aimed at women who love to shop and offers discounts at retail partners including lingerie chain La Senza and Champneys Health Resorts.
The card’s launch is being supported by a direct and online marketing campaign across the site and in relevant, targeted partner sites.
Managing director Nancy Cruickshank says: “Handbag is going through a period of growth and the credit card is one of a number of brand extensions planned this year. Like most women, the card loves to shop. It also offers a competitive rate of interest and exclusive monthly offers.”
Handbag.com, set up in 1999, is aimed at women aged from 24 to 45 and attracts 1.3 million unique users a month.
