Scottish & Newcastle UK is set to launch the first national television advertising campaign for its Spanish lager brand San Miguel at the end of April as part of a £9m support plan for the year.

Scottish & Newcastle UK is set to launch the first national television advertising campaign for its Spanish lager brand San Miguel at the end of April as part of a &£9m support plan for the year.

Created by HTW, with media planning and buying through Starcom MediaVest, the advertising will start in March at Viva – the Spanish and Latin American Film Festival. The 30-second execution titled “Dancer” will showcase an annual Flamenco competition in an Andalucian town. While the élite are shown to be sipping champagne in the VIP area, the townsfolk congregate at the bar drinking San Miguel.

Brand manager, San Miguel at S&N UK Andrew Jack says/ “The total trade growth of San Miguel last year was 23% and the new national TV advertising campaign will expose a much larger audience than ever before to the brand, which will ultimately help fuel awareness and drive further sales of the brand.”
