Scottish & Newcastle UK is set to launch the first national television advertising campaign for its Spanish lager brand San Miguel at the end of April as part of a &£9m support plan for the year.
Created by HTW, with media planning and buying through Starcom MediaVest, the advertising will start in March at Viva – the Spanish and Latin American Film Festival. The 30-second execution titled “Dancer” will showcase an annual Flamenco competition in an Andalucian town. While the Ã©lite are shown to be sipping champagne in the VIP area, the townsfolk congregate at the bar drinking San Miguel.
Brand manager, San Miguel at S&N UK Andrew Jack says/ “The total trade growth of San Miguel last year was 23% and the new national TV advertising campaign will expose a much larger audience than ever before to the brand, which will ultimately help fuel awareness and drive further sales of the brand.”
