Domino’s Pizza has signed up England striker Michael Owen to star in its television campaign supporting the launch of its Football Fanatic pizza.
The ad, which has been created by Team Saatchi, will air in the run-up to and during the FIFA World Cup, and aims to position the Domino’s brand at the heart of football.
It features two football fans arguing about who loves football the most. One of the fans, John, claims that he has won when he takes delivery of the new football fanatic pizza, but his friend, Bernard, trumps him by claiming that he has Owen locked in a cupboard. He then opens the door and Owen wearily agrees that Bernard does love football more.
