Burger King UK marketing chief poised for US return

Burger King is seeking a senior marketer to join its UK team. It is thought that Dawn Foster, the current marketing director, is returning to the US after a year in the role.

The fast-food chain brought Foster in last May after former UK marketing director Paul Reynish left the company without a job to go to. His departure came a month after international marketing director Andrew Brent quit the company (MW March 31, 2005).

Foster, previously the chain’s director of product marketing in the US, is responsible for a number of successful long-term menu strategies.

Since Foster’s arrival, Burger King has consolidated its &£50m global advertising account into US agency Crispin Porter & Bogusky.
