National Express Coaches is reviewing its estimated £2m account and is working with the AAR to draw up a pitch list of full service agencies.

The brief will include creating a summer campaign for the branded coach operator, which is a division of National Express Group.

The review follows the appointment of Paul Bunting as chief executive in February, who arrived from train operator Midland Mainline to replace Dennis Wormwell.

Incumbent Inferno, which has worked with National Express Coaches for two and a half years, has been invited to re-pitch for the business. Inferno handled all the through-the-line advertising for the firm and created the first National Express television advertisement in July 2004.

The coach company has invested in overhauling its services in the past three years in an attempt to modernise consumers’ perception of the brand.

National Express appointed Media Contacts as its online media buying and planning agency in July 2005.
