EHS Brann picks up charity brief

EHS Brann has been appointed to handle the multimillion pound integrated account for Concern Worldwide, a charity dedicated to reducing suffering and poverty in developing countries.

The agency is charged with boosting the charity’s profile in the UK and Ireland, and will produce a series of direct marketing and press campaigns over a three-year period. EHS Brann pitched against Clark McKay Walpole and Kitcatt Nohr Alexander Shaw to win the business.

EHS Brann Discovery, the agency’s data division, will work on maximising the value of the charity’s customer data. In Ireland, where one in ten households donates, the emphasis will be on retaining the customer base and upgrading donors to a new level. But in the UK, where awareness of the charity is relatively low, EHS Brann will focus on an acquisition strategy.

EHS Brann Group chairman Terry Hunt says: “Concern is a fantastic organ- isation, punching well above its weight. It was first in its field during four out of the five most recent humanitarian crises around the world.”

Concern has offices in London, Edinburgh, Belfast and its headquarters in Dublin. It focuses on health education and poverty, as well as emergencies such as the Asian Tsunami.
