Otto appoints Cheeze to boost its new e-tail brand

Otto, the company behind mail-order houses Grattan and Freemans, has appointed digital marketing agency Cheeze to manage the digital marketing strategy for its new online business Duck.co.uk.

Duck launched last month selling electrical goods. Otto is spending the entire marketing budget for the new site on online activity, in what it describes as “a substantial investment”.

Cheeze plans to run search marketing across Google, Miva, MSN and Yahoo!, as well as online banner advertising to build up the brand and drive sales. It also plans to include price comparison activity in its marketing.

The account will be handled from Cheeze’s Leeds office. The agency’s other clients include Budget Rent-A-Car, Monarch and Bupa.
