Dream Number, which launches this Saturday, will offer players the chance to win prizes of between &£2 and &£500,000, with a one-in-ten chance of winning.

The results from the twice-weekly draw will be broadcast before the main Lotto draw on Saturdays on BBC1, and on Wednesdays as part of that night’s midweek lottery show, also on BBC1.

The launch of the game will be supported by a TV, radio, press and online campaign, created by Abbott Mead Vickers.BBDO and built around the strapline “Winning Just Got Easier”.

The TV ad opens with a groundsman hooking up one end of a football net to a goal post. The groundsman then walks to the opposite post as the shot pulls back to reveal a goal four times its normal size. Depending on the execution, the ad then cuts to other scenes. One shows a man testing his strength on a fairground hammer game.

As the bell rings, the shot pulls back to show that the stand is much shorter than usual and the man is handed a prize, to the delight of his girlfriend.

The voiceover says/ “Winning just got easier”, and a final close-up shows a National Lottery ball with the Dream Number logo rolling onto the screen.
