Orange has appointed Euro RSCG KLP to handle its multi-million pound international music sponsorship and partnership business.
Seven agencies competed for two briefs – sports and entertainment.
Havas Partnerships – a pitch team from a selection of the group’s agencies – responded to both briefs, with Euro RSCG leading the entertainment pitch. Paris-based Havas Sports won the sports account.
Orange has identified content delivered through entertainment and sports sponsorships and partnerships – including online, IPTV, mobile communications or fixed-line telecoms – as a key platform for success.
The mobile operator’s group director of sponsorships and public relations Serge Valentin says: “Havas Partnerships won not only because of its strong track record in creating brand owned properties but also because of its clear vision for the new world Orange brand.”
