Ecover, the eco-friendly cleaning products manufacturer, is launching a reformulated range of laundry products next month across the UK. The new lines aim to be more efficient at cleaning without becoming more damaging to the environment.

The reformulated products contain new ingredients that improve the solubility and cleaning power. The move follows two years of research and development across its entire range of laundry liquids and powders.

The key change is the addition of a cleaning agent derived from plant ingredients grown in continental Europe, which is natural and minimises damage to the environment.

The range includes non-biological washing powder, which is approved by the Good Housekeeping Institute, and a new biological washing powder, available at Booths, Waitrose, the Co-op and John Lewis.

The revamp of the range is in line with the company’s aim to position itself as a pioneer in the field of ecological cleaning products and a leader in the development of environmentally friendly alternatives to chemical household cleaners.

Ecover has built its business around the ethical proposition, with all its products based solely on natural plant and mineral ingredients, and containing no optical brighteners.
