Isobel scoops 1m creative work for NHM

The Natural History Museum has appointed Isobel to its estimated £1m creative business without a pitch. The agency has previously worked with the museum on a project basis.

The London-based attraction held a pitch for the business in February last year, but called it off less than two months later. A spokesman says that none of the agencies “provided a suitable solution”. Soul (now Nitro), Leith London (now Farm), Hooper Galton, Isobel and Karmarama had contested the business.

The attraction later pitched its media planning and buying business, appointing Total Media to the account in July last year.

Isobel was initially tasked at the beginning of 2006 with developing creative work for the museum’s dinosaur exhibition, DinoJaws. The work included generating the exhibition’s name, logo and print work.

It will now work on promoting a variety of projects and exhibitions for the museum, which is home to life and earth science collections comprising more than 70 million items.

Isobel is also behind the work launched this week for Ikea rival, the Scandinavian furniture brand Ilva.
