Intel%20Core%202%20DuoComputer processing giant Intel is launching a global branding campaign to support the new Intel Core 2 Duo. It claims it is the world’s best processor.

The "Multiply" campaign is Intel’s biggest marketing push since the £3m launch of Intel Centrino mobile technology in 2004. The campaign, created by McCann Worldgroup in New York, will include television, print, online and outdoor activity and will break later this month.

According to the company, the executions use "strong visual imagery and high energy music to communicate the multi-dimensional benefits consumers get from Intel Core 2 Duo processor-based PCs. In print and TV advertising, dancers, actors and artists express the impact of dual core technology in their multi-dimensional lives".

The ads will also feature music from up-and-coming bands such as the UK’s New Young Pony Club and Sweden’s Teddybears. Intel’s website will feature links to streamed media, artist interviews, links to band websites and bonus material.
