Anthem Publishing is launching a magazine dedicated to Italian food and drink to capitalise on the surge of interest in fine dining.
Taste Italia will launch on November 16 and be available in WH Smith, Borders, Waitrose, Sainsbury’s, Italian delicatessens and newsagents nationwide.
Already the publisher of Italian lifestyle magazine Italia! and football title Calcio Italia, Anthem says it is responding to research from its own readers indicating that 95% of them want to see more food and wine coverage, backed up by the knowledge that the value of Italian food and wine imports has risen by 28% over the past two years.
The bi-monthly title is to have a 45,000 print run and will feature high-profile Italian chefs such as Aldo Zilli. It will be backed at launch by a marketing campaign incorporating newstrade promotion, print advertising and inserts, and a prominent presence at the Viva Italia and Dolce Vita shows at London Olympia.
