Mediaedge:CIA wins 5m Capri-Sun and Appletiser account

Coca-Cola has appointed Mediaedge:CIA to handle its 5m Coca-Cola Enterprises UK media planning and buying account for the Capri-Sun and Appletiser brands.

Coca-Cola has appointed Mediaedge:CIA to handle its £5m Coca-Cola Enterprises UK media planning and buying account for the Capri-Sun and Appletiser brands.

The WPP-owned agency beat Vizeum and BLM to the prestigious business.

The account, resigned by Walker Media last month after five years, includes promotional work for the Capri Sun and Appletiser brands, which are licensed to Coca-Cola Enterprises in the UK. Walker Media had held the account for five years.

The company is responsible for the bottling, manufacturing and distribution of Coca-Cola products in the UK, and is preparing to launch new products onto the market, including a much-needed water brand in the new year, as revealed in Marketing Week last month.

Aegis-owned Vizeum’s hold on the main UK Coca-Cola media account is unaffected by the Mediaedge:CIA appointment.
