Surrey Cricket appoints marketing chief

Surrey Cricket Club has appointed Suzi Kent as head of marketing and communications in a move to strengthen its sales and marketing team.

Kent has been briefed to review the club’s current strategy with a view to increasing its marketing activities. She has already taken over the role.

She joins the club, which is based at The Brit Oval in London, from TaylorMade-adidas Golf, where she was European marketing manager.

The club has also promoted head of media and sales Johnny Grave to head of business development. He will be responsible for managing commercial relationships and developing new sponsorship opportunities.

Surrey Cricket Club director of sales and marketing Paul Blanchard says that it is important for the club to focus on setting a high standard of marketing and communications as it hosts international cricket.

He adds: “This in turn will allow us to attract new sponsors and invest not only in the development of our club, but also the further improvement of our facilities.”
