Yorkshire Air Ambulance launches TV campaign

Yorkshire Air Ambulance, the rescue service which pulled Top Gear presenter Richard Hammond from the wreckage of his jet-powered car, is launching its first television advertising campaign.

The Leeds-based creative agency Poulters is spearheading the campaign for the charity, which has received over 130,000 in donations following an appeal from Hammond’s family after his accident at an airfield near York.

The campaign, which breaks across regional radio and television in Yorkshire and Tyne Tees at the end of October, aims to raise awareness and further funding for the service.

The agency, which won the account last year, also plans to distribute 40,000 posters as part of the campaign around public footpaths in rural areas highlighting the need for the air ambulance service.
