Premier Foods calls 4m Batchelors pitch

Premier Foods is reviewing the advertising for its 4m Batchelors Cup-a-Soup and Super Noodles account, which is currently handled by Delaney Lund Knox Warren (DLKW). The move follows Premier’s 460m acquisition of the Campbell’s UK and Ireland soup business in July.

It is understood that DLKW will pitch against Clemnow Hornby Inge (CHI), which is already on the Premier Foods roster. Earlier this year, the food company moved the 6m Branston business out of DLKW and into CHI without a pitch.

Premier has been shaking up its agency roster over the last few months. In June, it gave the 9m Quorn account to Publicis with a brief to make the meat free product appeal to non-vegetarians. Premier acquired Quorn when it bought Marlow Foods for 175m in June 2005.
