Kiss launches Prince’s Trust community partnership

Kiss, the EMAP-owned radio network, is launching a partnership with the Prince’s Trust to encourage young people to improve their local communities.

Kiss will promote The Prince’s Trust Group Awards on air and online in a bid to encourage young people to apply for a share of £2.7m fund, which has been set-aside for community project development. The partnership is part of a “planned long-term commitment” between Kiss and the Prince’s Trust.

Kiss programme director Andy Robert says: “Kiss came up through the community and our activity and connections to today’s community are integral to everything we do.”

The awards are open to people aged between 14 and 25 who are long-term unemployed, in care, have been in trouble with the law or are underachieving at school. Grants of up to £5,000 are awarded for ideas in a variety of areas including music, sport and fashion.
