Turner refocuses on interactive and in-house creative

TurnerTurner Broadcasting is repositioning the sales team for its entertainment division in a move aimed at increasing its focus on interactive campaigns and producing in-house creative.

The department, which handles sales for Turner TV channels including Cartoon Network, Toonami, Boomerang and Turner Classic Movies, it also launching a dedicated sales website to promote it services to advertisers and media buyers this week.

Simon Cox, vice president of the entertainment sales team, says as the company owns the majority of its children’s broadcasting content, it can offer campaigns based around that content. He adds the department is especially well placed across interactive platforms and could offer interactive TV games and advertiser microsites.

A Turner spokewoman says it has offered integrated solutions before but that it is now an "ingrained" part of the structure.

She says: "We are now committed to it as a strategy and as such are talking to with agencies and advertisers about our offering."
