Hall Moore CHI picks up 10m ebookers integrated business

Ebookers has appointed Hall Moore CHI, the direct marketing agency backed by Clemmow Hornby Inge, to handle its £10m integrated advertising account.

Hall Moore, which won the business following a four-way pitch, will handle all advertising for the travel brand, which is also looking for a media agency ahead of a renewed marketing push.

Ebookers head of marketing Claire Howard-Jones, who oversaw the review, confirms Hall Moore has been appointed and says she chose an integrated agency because the new advertising push will be direct response-led. The brand previously worked with agencies on a project basis, but Hall Moore will be retained.

Ebookers UK and Ireland general manager Ciaran Lally adds: “Next year will be a key year in the development of Ebookers. We have a number of product developments planned and Hall Moore CHI will be instrumental in helping us reach our goals.”

Last year, ebookers hired Stephens Francis Whitson to handle its customer relationship management business. It is not clear whether the agency will continue to work with the brand but Howard-Jones says ebookers uses very little direct marketing.

The company works with Conrad for its classified media buying but is seeking an agency to handle media planning and buying for the work Hall Moore will produce.

A spokesman for Hall Moore says the agency will take a “media neutral approach” with the aim of increasing brand awareness ahead of the launch of a new website.
