Rachel’s Organic Dairy chooses first marketing director

Steve%20ClarkeRachel’s Organic Dairy, one of the UK’s leading yogurt producers, has appointed Steve Clarke to the newly created role of marketing director.

Clarke joins the company from United Biscuits, where he was marketing controller for the McVitie’s brand with responsibility for overseeing its £160m core biscuit portfolio. Clarke will report directly to Rachel’s Organic managing director Neil Burchell.

The company has experienced strong volume growth in recent years driven largely by the expansion of the UK organic yogurts and desserts market which grew by 21% to £116m last year.

Clarke has over ten years’ strategic marketing and brand experience working for companies including Gillette, Timex and Yardley.

Rachel’s Organic produces a range of organic dairy products including milk, yogurt drinks, butter and rice desserts.

The company recently teamed up with the Send a Cow charity to launch an on-pack promotion across its yogurt and milk products to help support farmers in Africa.
