Virgin Atlantic has restructured its marketing department and moved director of customer services Paul Dickinson to the new role of sales and marketing director.
Dickinson, who has been with Virgin Atlantic for five years, will oversee the airline’s sales and marketing departments, as well as the Flying Club loyalty scheme and e-commerce.
The reshuffle sees marketing director Alison Copus move to a new role at Virgin Unite, Virgin’s charitable foundation. During her 12 years at the airline, she has overseen innovations such as the Upper Class Suite, Premium Economy and the Heathrow Clubhouse.
Virgin Atlantic’s chief executive Steve Ridgway says of the changes: “Paul will bring further dynamism to the sales and marketing area and build on the significant achievements we’ve already made in recent years in redefining long-haul air travel.”
Before joining Virgin Atlantic, Dickinson was sales and marketing director for the consumer division of the RAC. He has also worked at Air Miles and Granada.
