Love looks to net digital start-up

Jonathan%20RigbyManchester-based creative and design agency Love is looking to invest in a digital start-up agency. The start-up will work out of Manchester, but there is potential for a satellite office in London.

The agency is seeking a digital team because its creative work increasingly includes digital and interactive advertising and it is also becoming more involved in digital content generation and distribution.

A Love spokesman says: "We’ve noticed that clients are not being given the strategic advice they need when it comes to their online activity."

The agency, which was set-up five years ago, hired former FCB London managing director Jonathan Rigby as managing partner last July. His appointment strengthened its senior line up and he has provided strategic input across the agency’s major accounts, including Umbro, Nike and Yorkshire Tea.

Rigby spent two years at FCB, prior to which he was at Lowe for three years. He has also held roles at Abbott Mead Vickers.BBDO and WCRS.
