Folio Hotels, the independent group of UK hotels, has appointed Mark Taylor to the new role of head of marketing. He joins from Swallow Hotels, where he was group marketing director.
He will be responsible for raising the profile of the brand with both leisure and corporate customers. He is currently developing a marketing campaign for the brand, which is due to break in December, and will also launch a new website.
Taylor has worked in the hotel sector for more than nine years including a spell as director of consumer marketing for Hilton.
Folio Hotels chairman Nicholas Crawley says: “We are undergoing rapid growth and, together with our investment programme, the time is definitely right to enlist someone to ensure that we hit our marketing objective.”
Folio is a group of three and four star hotels across the UK with sites in Derbyshire, Surrey and West London.
