GMG Radio replaces sales chief

Guardian Media Group Radio has promoted Helen Walledge to head of agency sales. She takes over the role from Mark Walker, who has left the company.

Walledge will be responsible for the development of the company’s regional agency sales team and for growing regional revenue from the company’s team based in England.

She has been with GMG for four years and joined the company as key account manager, before being promoted to regional sales director. She has also held roles at Granada Media, Carat and Chrysalis Radio.

The Direct Marketing Association (UK) plans to draw up a new code of conduct to establish rules governing how marketers use search marketing. The rules are due to be introduced in March 2007.
