Napster Mobile launches first European service
Napster, the online music provider, is launching its mobile service in Ireland later this month. It is the first European launch for the company.
The service, which is launching with 02, will be Ericsson and will make Napster’s 3 million-plus songs, images and ring tones, available to O2 Ireland’s 1.6 million subscribers.
In the US, Napster Mobile has a venture with Cingular and the company has tied up with DoCoMo in Japan.
Customers will be able to search, browse, preview and buy songs from the world’s largest mobile music catalogue and receive Ericsson-aggregated content via their i-mode wireless handsets.
