Bernard Matthews is launching a major TV campaign for its range of turkeys in the run up to Christmas. It claims that it is the first time it has launched a Christmas push behind its products since the early 1980s.

The campaign, which was created by its in-house creative team, has the strapline "Bernard Matthews, Sponsors of Christmas Dinner" and has four executions. The ads have been shot in the style of home videos, and show a variety of family scenes. Media is handled by Initiative.

Marketing director Matt Pullen says: "Turkey is at the core of the Bernard Matthews brand, and we have been feeding the nation at Christmas for over half a century, so it is only fitting that we should be giving major support to Golden Norfolk Turkey at this time of year."
