BPMA announces first Entrepreneur of the Industry Award winner

Danny Bamping, the entrepreneur behind the Bedlam Cube puzzle has won the first British Promotional Merchandise Association (BPMA) Entrepreneur of the Industry Award.

Bamping was chosen by a panel of senior UK promotional marketing industry leaders and was chosen on the strength of his innovative business concept, natural entrepreneurial flair and his vision for developing this and other products to drive the business forward.

The Bedlam Cube has been called “the next Rubik’s Cube” and in two years has achieved sales of £1m. It launched at Hamleys in 2004 and is now sold through Argos, Debenhams, John Lewis, WH Smith and Tesco. Bamping has made The Bedlam Cube a success in the retail toy, corporate gift and promotional merchandise markets.

The Entrepreneur of the Industry Award has been created and launched by (BPMA) and is a nationwide search for an entrepreneur demonstrating initiative, innovative concepts and a proactive business approach which has proven successful in the promotions and incentives industry.
