Eat Natural, the snack bar brand, is launching a winter variant to build on the success of its summer recipe. The company says it will now launch three “Seasonal Recipe” bars each year.
The Pear, Pecan and Ginger with Dark Chocolate “winter warmer” bar will initially be launched at Tesco, Holland & Barrett and Julian Graves stores as a single bar or in three-bar multi-packs, it will also be available to other retailers.
Eat Natural is considering making its summer recipe, a yoghurt coated blueberry and pistachio bar, a permanent product following requests from retailers.
The company is increasing its focus on new product development. In November, it launched a “Mile High” bar for Virgin Atlantic premium economy customers designed to give passengers a slow-release energy boost during flights (MW November 23, 2006).
It hired former Marks & Spencer biscuit developer Harriet Gregory in November to head its new product innovation department, as revealed on marketingweek.co.uk.
The cereal bar brand says it is now the UK’s fastest growing snack bar, with a current year-on-year growth of 48%. The bars are available across the UK and are exported to 15 countries.
