Mike Moran joins Isle of Shuna board

Former Toyota GB commercial director Mike Moran has joined Scottish seafood business Isle of Shuna as its first non-executive director.

Moran, already an Isle of Shuna investor, joins the board as the company embarks on a strategy to acquire new businesses and launch further products. He will advise Isle of Shuna on a range of marketing issues, from distribution and pricing to new product development and acquisition strategies. Chairman Rod Burgess says Moran’s marketing and management experience will be "invaluable".

Moran left Toyota to join Thames Water as worldwide marketing and strategy director in 2003 (MW January 30, 2003) but left after 18 months when his role was axed. He is currently managing partner of brand and marketing consultancy The Orchard Consultancy and also set up motoring consultancy The Automotive Partnership last year (MW September 21, 2006).

Isle of Shuna was established in March 2005.
