The Carbon Trust, the Government agency tasked with encouraging the UK to lower carbon emissions, has appointed three agencies to its media planning roster as part of its £50m statutory review (MW July 13, 2006).

The body has added Edwards Groom Saunders, Manning Gottlieb OMD and Media Planning to its roster for the next four years.

Last month, the trust announced the appointment of Delaney Lund Knox Warren & Partners, McCann Erickson, Quadrant Consultants and TequilaLondon to its roster.

Peter Hambly, marketing director at the Carbon Trust, says: "It is critical that our delivery partners have the ability to convey the message that the reduction of carbon emissions is the key to tackling climate change. This must be communicated to a complex audience ranging from large corporations to schools and hospitals. We need to ensure the Carbon Trust brand is clearly understood by all."
