GCap picks new media marketing chief

GCap Media, the owner of Classic FM and Capital Radio, has appointed Myles Anderson as head of marketing and partnerships, new media. He joins from Orange, where he was business development manager for portal channels.

Anderson, who joins later this month, will be responsible for building new revenue streams and increasing the profile of GCap Media brands and content across online and mobile. He will be charged with developing new e-commerce, search, digital music and revenue share opportunities online. He will report to new media director Tom Laidlaw.

Laidlaw says: “GCap is investing in technology, content and people and we are really excited that Myles has agreed to be a part of our future plans.”

Anderson has been with Orange for fours years and was responsible for delivering new revenue opportunities within the shopping, travel and finance sectors. He was previously at Wanadoo UK and Freeserve in a variety of roles and also worked at Frontline Media as a planner and buyer.
