RNLI appoints roster

The Royal National Lifeboat Institution has appointed three agencies to its design and marketing roster following a pitch involving seven agencies.

Marketing Matters, The Mad Agency and Mad River have been appointed to provide consultancy services "as required". They have been appointed for two years.

James Vaughan, head of fundraising and communications services at the charity, says: "These days, more and more work is being done by our own in-house team, which helps us to keep costs down, but there are occasions when we need extra help.

"Already for next year we have 350 projects to work on which include fundraising materials, safety signage, education literature and a whole host of other communication projects. With our small team we can’t manage them all, so we have chosen three highly experienced, and by coincidence local companies, each with a particular specialist skill, to assist us in areas of campaign management and creative development."

The RNLI has streamlined its creative roster as the charity aims to reduce costs.

The charity will continue to work with direct marketing shops, Proximity and Whitewater.
