Transport for London (TfL) is looking for a new sponsor for the London Underground busking scheme to replace Carling.
Its deal with the brewer, which has sponsored the scheme since it began three years ago, has come to an end and the Carling-branded busking pitches have been replaced by new London Underground designs.
London Underground won the right to change the law to make busking legal on the Underground in May 2003. The busking scheme started as a 16-week trial but has grown over the years and now has 356 buskers with 30 pitches in 22 stations.
London Underground is working with CBS Outdoor to find a new sponsor and TfL contracts manager for advertising and sponsorship Steve Lewis says: "The scheme will continue to be managed in house until a suitable sponsor is selected to help this unique and successful initiative to keep on flourishing and developing."
