RWE-owned energy provider npower is launching a Valentine’s campaign that aims to woo back former customers who have defected to rival providers.

The utilities company is sending out a CD of love songs to 12,000 lapsed “premium value” customers. The CD is called “The power of love – ten unforgettable songs that tell you how we feel” and aimed to remind customers “how much npower loves them”. It includes songs such as Paul Young’s “Everytime you go away” and Dolly Parton’s “I will always love you”. npower is also sponsoring a Valentine’s Day supplement in the Daily Mail.

The CD will be handed out by door-to-door salesmen on Valentine’s Day and will be available to Daily Mail readers who phone in for an npower quote on St Valentine’s Day.
