Magic 105.4, the EMAP-owned radio brand, is introducing a Valentine-themed blog service. It will allow listeners to phone in their love messages to be converted into on-screen text.

Mellow Magic Love Line will allow users to post their messages onto a blog by calling a phone number and leaving the message, which is then converted to text and automatically posted on the site. The service allows listeners to post messages without being online.

The radio station has teamed up with SpinVox, the voice-to-screen messaging specialist to launch the version of its Spin-My-Blog service for Valentine’s Day.

Magic digital development director James Walden says that the station’s listeners increasingly want to interact more with the station. He adds: "Magic wanted to build an interactive platform allowing its audience the chance to talk to presenters and other listeners as well as loved ones and friends throughout the shows on Magic."

EMAP is keen to develop its digital presence with new ideas across several brands. This week it announced the launch of video-on-demand broadband channels for several brands including Empire and Motorcycle News. Last month it also acquired YoSpace, a firm specialising in user-generated content.
