New campaign – Women’s Aid

Domestic violence focus of hard-hitting message

womens%20AidWomen’s Aid is launching a Valentine Day’s public awareness campaign to highlight the number of women that suffer from domestic violence.

The tactical campaign, created by Grey London and shot by celebrity fashion photographer Rankin, will run nationally and feature print and radio ads.

The print ad features part of a female body with stitches and the line "Happy Valentine’s love John", with the stitches forming three kisses under the message.

It is closely modelled on Rankin’s high-profile "What’s it going to take?" campaign which uses head and shoulders portraits of famous women, such as actress Anna Friel, made up to show the physical effects of domestic violence.

Women’s Aid hopes the campaign will help raise awareness of the problem of domestic violence, with the ad asking everyone to "act until women and children are safe".
