Budget’s rolls out RSS feed in industry first

Cheeze, the digital agency recently snapped up by Ben Langdon’s Digital Marketing Group (DMG), has developed an internet customer relationship strategy for car rental brand Budget.

It has launched the car rental industry’s first RSS feed for Budget Go Overseas, the car rental loyalty scheme for overseas property owners, meaning that members can receive offers and deals live on their desktops.

The initiative aims to add value to Budget’s existing customer base and will be promoted through the company’s existing customer relationship management (CRM) programme. A spokesman says: “This shift forward in the brand’s marketing mix will make it easier than before for overseas customers to grab the best deal available.” He adds that personalisation of content will be “paramount” for travel brands in 2007.

Langdon launched DMG in October last year 13 months after he was ousted as chairman and chief executive of Euro RSCG.
