QSoft Consulting is investing £2m in its Gaydar brand ahead of plans to announce new ventures in publishing, events and real estate this spring.

The brand, which already operates a radio station and a number of websites such as gaydartravel.com, is also launching a social networking portal, GaydarNation, in March. The radio network, which celebrated its fifth birthday on February 15, will be incorporated into the site.Henry Badenhorst, QSoft managing director, says: “The growth if our dating, radio and travel services over the past nine years has led to the development of a brand and a new range of products and services, which are designed to extend the Gaydar footprint further in 2007.”The company says the plans honoured the memory of its co-founder and chairman Gary Frisch, who died suddenly on Saturday, February 10.
