Viacom Brand Solutions Europe vice-president Tony Robinson is leaving the company just weeks after being given extra responsibilities in a management reshuffle.

Robinson is joining live music specialist Live Nation as senior vice-president of international marketing partnerships (international). Live Nation, which is the country’s biggest music promoter, has appointed Robinson to spearhead its global expansion.

Robinson has been with MTV Networks International, which owns Viacom, for seven years and was responsible for London-based client relationships. He was handed the remit for digital media and responsibility for Nickelodeon sales in January as part of a new structure. It is not clear if a replacement has been appointed.

Live Nation, formerly Clear Channel Entertainment, provides services including organising festivals and music events.

The company says Robinson’s appointment will add "substantial impetus" to its international business expansion.
