Delaney Lund Knox Warren & Partners (DLKW) has been retained by the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency (DVLA) to handle a £5.5m campaign on car tax.

DLKW pitched against Lowe London to win the business. Rainey Kelly Campbell Roalfe/Y&R was eliminated at an earlier stage.

DLKW will create a campaign to remind people to tax their vehicles by the renewal deadline and underline the consequences of not doing so.

The pitch, which was handled by COI Communications, was called in November. DLKW won the brief in 2004 from Leo Burnett.

The DVLA appointed Carat to handle the media planning and buying side of the business last year after a pitch against PHD and incumbent Starcom.
