Letters%202Am I alone in considering the "loyalty key fob" a poor idea (MW last week)? Loyalty cards tend to be kept in the same place as credit and debit cards: the consumers’ wallet or purse. They are thus easily to hand when purchases are being made by card, or by cash. The loyalty cards are kept flat, secure and discrete; easily accessible whenever required.

To have to carry yet more plastic (sorry, Teslin) attachments to a key ring, which almost inevitably will not be in the same place as the chosen payment device, seems designed to cause yet more delays and confusion at the checkout.

Surely a retrograde step?
