VCCP to create Carbon Trust campaigns

The Carbon Trust has chosen Vallance Carruthers Coleman Priest (VCCP) to create advertising campaigns for the next year. Manning Gottlieb OMD will lead the Government-funded body’s media planning and buying.

The agencies were selected from the trust’s roster following a competitive pitch and have been tasked with leading a branding campaign to raise the profile to lower carbon emissions.

The Carbon Trust compiled its roster in January this year after launching a review of its marketing and communications strategy in October 2006. It has a budget of £50m. Agencies will remain on the roster for the next four years.

VCCP pitched against Rainey Kelly Campbell Roalfe/Y&R and WCRS for the right to create campaigns for the next year. EdwardsGroomSaunders, Manning Gottlieb OMD and Media Planning make up the media roster, while MRM Worldwide, Ogilvy Interactive, TequilaLondon and WDMP are on the digital roster.

Delaney Lund Knox Warren (DLKW), McCann Erickson, Quadrant Consultants and TequilaLondon are on the marketing roster, and McCann Erickson, Brandsmiths, Lambie-Nairn and Rufus Leonard on the roster for all brand-related strategy and planning contracts.

Carbon Trust marketing and communications director Peter Hambly said: “We are very pleased to have appointed Manning Gottlieb OMD and VCCP to help us take an innovative and creative approach in communicating the benefits to business in taking action on climate change.”
