Double blow for Agency Republic as directors quit

Agency Republic has lost its top planning and creative directors Patrick Griffith and Andy Sandoz.

Both are leaving to go travelling without jobs to go to, but it is believed the pair are talking about launching a start-up or joining a rival agency together later this year.

Sandoz leaves 18 months after joining as head of art from Randommedia. He was promoted to creative director in October 2005, following a year-long search to fill the position.

Griffith was poached by the Omnicom-owned digital agency in November 2004 from rival i-level.

Chief executive Martin Brooks confirms the departures saying both will leave in several weeks. He adds that the departures will have "no effect" on clients.
