Media Circus, the marketing communications agency, has been appointed to handle sponsorship and marketing activity for the Bollywood Oscars.
The International Indian Film Academy Awards (IIFA) awarded the agency the account after a pitch against a number of undisclosed agencies.
This year’s awards will be held in Yorkshire and broadcast to more than 400 million viewers across the globe.
Linda Ewing, Media Circus director, says: “We are delighted to be working with the biggest global cinema industry in the world. This presents huge opportunity for brands looking to tap into the soon to be biggest population in the world and will reach billions of consumers across the global.”
The London-based agency will work on securing title and associate sponsorship packages as well as media partnerships.
The IIFA awards will take place from June 6 to June 9 and will include a film festival and exhibition, Hindi movie world premiere, celebrity cricket match and a global business forum for government ministers and industry leaders to meet and promote bilateral trade between India and the UK.
