118 118 keeps faith with runners

118 118 is launching a new campaign which sees the brand’s famous runners vowing to “do more than numbers”.

The campaign, which has been created by WCRS and breaks this week, features an alternative version of the song Maniac from cult film Flashdance. The lyrics have been re-written to include the line “118 118 on the phone – helping like they’ve never helped before”.

The runners are seen performing a series of physical and mental exercises assisted by a variety of characters to make themselves better at helping people.

118 118 marketing director Mark Evans says: “This new campaign raises the bar on achieving awareness for the new benefit that 118 118 is much more than a numbers game – that we are helping like we have never helped before.”
