For several years now there’s been all sorts of waffle banded around about magazines being a dying medium in the wake of new media.

The Diary, for obvious reasons, thinks this is complete rubbish. So does the PPA’s marketing division. In fact, they are so confident in the strength and survival of those glossy-paged bundles of information and fun that they have launched The Magazine Revolution to promote advertising in magazines.

Ok, so admittedly that might not be hugely exciting, but the way in which they are promoting it is. Not only does the campaign brochure include great photos depicting the vast reach of magazines (see for yourself at www.magazinerevolution.co.uk), but it also came with Havana Club Rum and a list of revolution-themed cocktail recipes. So cheers, viva la magazine revolution!
